Art
Artwork is important
for those who want a more personalized board. All boards can be
airbrushed any color any style. For those that want a drawing on their
board our artist Fabian paints amazing drawings (ex. flower, wave,
cartoons ext.). Cloth inlay is also available. Cloth inlay is a thin
piece of cloth that is set underneath the fiberglass. Since the cloth is
bought at a fabric store almost any pattern is available and cloth can
be cut to any specific design
(example: stripe, entire deck or bottom, dots ext.)
Price depends on design
and size of design
Airbrushing costs
around $50
Hand Paint costs around $20
Cloth inlay – price on request
Here are a few things
you want to think about to understand what type of board will work best
for you.
For the Beginner
A beginner should get a
larger board; generally over 8ft depending on the size of the person.
Most beginners have trouble paddling and catching waves so a longer
thicker board will greatly increase the amount of waves they catch and
it will also create stability while riding the wave.
For the Advanced
General tail selection-
Squash -
gives a smooth feel
Swallow -
Loose feel, best tail for Texas shortboards (longer, thicker, wider)
Square
-
works well for short and long boards
Rounded pin -
best for longer boards
Thickness-
A shortboard that is around 2 1/2" thick will work best for small weak
surf. General Longboards are about +3” thick. Remember the more foam
the more waves.
